In the fall of 1996, there were three of us: Ron (Dr. Milliman), Dan Stone (Ron's assistant at Western Kentucky University), and Paul Smith (Ron and Dan's mutual friend who worked for IBM).
The one thing we all had in common was our burning desire to be in some kind of business dealing with current technology and the WWW. We met everyday for lunch at a local Mexican restaurant to kick around ideas. We each had considerable experience with various aspects of marketing, computer technology (both hardware and software), and the web. So, we decided to simply pool our abundance of knowledge and experience and form a consulting business with emphasis on internet marketing and e-commerce.
The name A3 came from the three amigos. However, since then, two of the original three amigos, Paul and Dan, decided to venture out on their own, leaving me, Dr. Ron Milliman, to develop the business, which I have done quite successfully. Our team has greatly expanded, adding several key players, making us one of the finest consulting services of this type in the country.
Heading up the team is Dr. Ronald E. Milliman, with over 40 years of business experience including:
Ron has developed several businesses of his own, been a consultant to businesses large and small, and is internationally recognized and widely quoted. He has a Ph.D. in marketing from Arizona State University and is currently a full professor at Western Kentucky University. At the university, he teaches marketing, including an up-to-the-minute course in marketing on the ever-changing world wide web.
In addition to being on the board of two corporations, Ron is a member of several marketing associations and has published articles in many of the leading marketing journals.
John has a MBA from Michigan State University and invested several years in sales with
Texas and IBM before joining the A3 consulting Team. He has a great deal of experience
in developing marketing plans and helping clients implement them, generating more
revenue for their businesses.
John is a major contributor to the A3 Team, and we are proud to have him onboard.
Kathy, after attending the University of Colorado, worked for a major New York City
advertising agency on several key accounts. Later, in her pursuit of more freedom and independence,
she opened one of several successful businesses in the New York area. After a moving to
Florida, she ran a very successful motel and semi-retired to persue her first love -
photography.
As the computer age began to grow, Kathy expanded her horizons into the
area of web design.
To go with her technical talants, Kathy also possesses excellent administrative
and people skills. Her photography and art background, combined with her up-to-date
knowledge of coding, design, graphics, search engine submission, etc. make her
a key member of the A3 team.
Belinda brings to the A3 team many years of experience with HTML coding as
well as with the newer Cascading Style Sheets. She is well versed in several
graphics programs, including Paint Shop Pro and Photo Shop, and has vast
resources for scripts and other useful design tools. In her previous job for
a photo lab, Belinda worked extensively with photographic manipulation. As an
animal lover, she designs and develops web sites free of charge for animal rescue groups.
Belinda's skills and talents make her a very valuable member of our A3 team.
Ms. Goldsmith has a BA degree in HR Management from Tulane University. She worked with Shapiro Data Technologies for five years prior to joining the A3 team. In the short time Susan has been onboard, she has made a major impact, greatly improving the digital communications system for dealing with all personnel related issues.
